Olive oil for beauty and have you heard about the thirst?

I would like to share a new piece of information with you: have you heard about “puking”, rolling oil in the mouth?

Already our great-grandparents used this method as a detoxifying treatment – de-parasitizing the body.

The oil that we roll in our mouths draws in impurities from the body. It also helps to get rid of tartar, for example – it is certainly more pleasant than scraping at the dentist.

It is most ideal to roll olive, sunflower, or peanut virgin oil in your mouth. From my own experience, I can advise that the less aromatic it is, the easier and more tolerable it is.

Fill a tablespoon with oil – it doesn’t have to be full – according to the size of the person and roll it around in the closed mouth so that it rolls all over the mouth. Roll slowly. After a while the oil becomes thinner and it feels as if you have water in your mouth. It is tasteless and odourless.

If you happen to get oil in your mouth, spit a little of it down the toilet and keep going.

Don’t splash the oil at any cost, there are a lot of pollutants from your body in there. It is not recommended to spit it out in the sink or when showering on your feet, because it really does contain a lot of pollutants.

It is recommended to roll the oil for 15-20 minutes, at least 2 times a day. The intensity of the rolling depends on the time. After this time, flush the oil down the toilet and rinse your mouth with warm water. After spitting, the oil must be transformed into a white, milk-like emulsion. If the emulsion is yellowish, it means that you have rolled with little intensity or for a short time.

The beginnings will not be easy for many, but don’t give up !!!

The first three days may or may not experience a headache, this is a reaction to the rapid clearing of blood vessels in the brain. If pain does occur, it should disappear within a day.

As with any detox, your body will react differently to this one. Your gums may become inflamed, but you should persevere, the symptoms will pass and it will be your daily cleansing ritual. Your body will surely be grateful.

Why is olive oil important for humans?

Consuming olive oil may provide health benefits:
for the heart – There is evidence from epidemiological studies suggesting that a higher proportion of monounsaturated fats in the diet is associated with a reduction in the risk of coronary heart disease. (In the U.S., olive oil producers may put the following health claim on the product label: Limited and not definitive scientific evidence suggests that consuming about 2 tablespoons – 23 grams of olive oil per day may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease because of the monounsaturated fat in olive oil. To achieve this potential benefit, olive oil should replace a similar amount of saturated fat and not increase the total number of calories consumed daily.)
– positive effects on cholesterol regulation and LDL cholesterol oxidation,
– exhibits anti-inflammatory, antithrombotic, antihypertensive and vasodilatory (blood vessel dilating) effects in both humans and animals,
– in the protection against cancer – the most important is the action of phenolics as antioxidants and oleic acid (such action has been shown in combination with sufficient vegetables and fruit),
– in the protection against diabetes,
in reduction diets,
disinfectant effects, relieves muscle pain,
slows down physical and mental ageing – people from Mediterranean regions live to a much older age on average compared to people from other regions – one of the main causes is the regular consumption of olives and olive products,
for osteoporosis – helps with the absorption of calcium needed for bone building,
– has multiple uses externally and internally.

Types of olive oil

Olive trees do not start bearing fruit until later, but their fertility lasts up to 150 years. Some trees live up to 1 000 years. However, not all varieties are used for oil production.

The basic division divides olive oils into:
Virgin – obtained by cold pressing (up to 50 °C – source wikipedia.sk, another source states the highest permissible temperature of 25 °C), often only in a mechanical way, the so-called first pressing.
Refined – obtained by pressing at higher temperatures and pressures and subsequent chemical treatment.
Blends – are produced by mixing virgin and refined oils.

The most beneficial substances are preserved in virgin oils.

– VIRGIN EXTRA OLIVE OIL: virgin olive oil with a sensory test score of more than 6.5 and an acidity of no more than 1°.
VIRGIN DEEP: virgin olive oil with a sensory test score of more than 5,5 and a maximum acidity of 1,5°.
– VIRGIN SEMI-FREE: virgin olive oil with a sensory test score of 3,5 or more and a maximum acidity of 3,3°.

An important criterion in determining quality is the content of monounsaturated fatty acids or polyphenols with significant antioxidant effects.
The most polyphenols are found in extra virgin olive oils.

Important components of olive oil

1/ Essential fatty acids – monounsaturated – make up 55-85% of olive oil. They are important in the prevention of heart disease.
2/ Antioxidants – a substance that can destroy free radicals. These damage cell membranes, threatening the stability and renewal of proteins.
– Antioxidants limit the process of oxidation in the body or in the mixtures in which they occur. They are added as additives to foods that would be excessively damaged by oxidation (e.g. vegetable oils).
– Depending on the source, antioxidants are divided into natural and synthetic.
– There is a tendency to favour natural antioxidants in the diet, as research points to their positive effects and better utilisation in the body. The presence of antioxidants added to foods is also viewed positively. Not only do they prolong the shelf life of food, but their use also has health benefits – in their beneficial effect on the incidence of cardiovascular disease and certain types of cancer.

3/ Calcium is necessary for proper bone development and muscle function.

4/ Iron is very important for the proper functioning of the body with sufficient energy, immune system and the development of mental abilities (learning, concentration).
5/ Potassium is an irreplaceable source of energy.
6/ Vitamins:
Vitamin A – Vitamin A is necessary for normal growth and development of the body, especially for healthy bones and teeth. It protects mucous membranes from infections and is essential for the formation of photosensitive pigment important for vision.
– High sensitivity to light and to oxygen; vitamin A can be protected by vitamin E.
– Deficiency can lead to degeneration of eye tissues and growth retardation. Vitamin A deficiency is the most prevalent vitamin A deficiency worldwide. The World Health Organization estimates that 250 million preschool children worldwide are at increased risk of mortality or blindness due to vitamin A deficiency.

Vitamin D (calciferols) promotes calcium absorption, which is essential for healthy tooth and bone development. This vitamin also helps maintain adequate levels of calcium and phosphorus in the blood.
– A deficiency of this vitamin can lead to bone softening and curvature.
– So called a group of fat-soluble substances regulating calcium and phosphate metabolism, chemically related to steroids.

Vitamin E (tocopherols) is needed for cell protection and as an antioxidant, it is responsible for normal muscle growth and development, blood circulation, nervous and digestive system function.
– A group of fat-soluble vitamins that can be stored in small amounts in the muscles, adipose tissue and liver.
Biochemical function:
– the most important antioxidant in the body,
– direct protection of membranes, especially unsaturated fatty acids,
– regeneration of vitamin E through vitamin C,
– inactivation of free radicals from pollutants, toxic peroxides and other free radicals generated in the normal metabolic removal of organic compounds,
– natural anticoagulants (means against excessive blood clotting),
– impact on immunity,
– important for protein synthesis and the neuromuscular system,
– promotes normal growth and the body’s ability to respond to stress,
– stimulates the normal development and adequate tension (tone) of skeletal muscle, heart muscle, and the involuntary musculature of the intestines,
– required for normal digestion and metabolism of polyunsaturated fatty acids (vegetable oils), which it protects from oxidation and allows their integration into cell and tissue membranes,
– requires bile acids for better absorption (only 40% of food intake is absorbed from the small intestine).

Vitamin K is the general name for a group of vitamins K1, K2, K3, K4 and other substances. Its name is derived from the word coagulation – coagulation. Vitamin K is important for the good function of both internal blood coagulation and external injury.
– It is involved in calcium metabolism, so it is important in the deposition of calcium in bone mass. And therefore, especially in the elderly, it is responsible for healthy bones.
– Its deficiency is created by taking antibiotics that disrupt the intestinal flora.
– Natural vitamins K1 and K2 are fat-soluble, but unlike vitamin D, they are not stored in the body. It does not accumulate in large quantities in any organ, so it needs to be replenished daily in the diet.
Its main functions include:
– It is essential for the synthesis of prothrombin, which is necessary for blood clotting.
– It is necessary for bone regeneration and osteocalcin synthesis.
– It helps with coronary thrombosis.
– It promotes proper liver function.
– It is preventive against infection in children.
– It is preventive against malignant tumors.
– It promotes longevity.

Storing olive oil
Olive oil can last for a long time if stored well, some sources say up to two years. Once opened, it should be consumed within a few months as it loses flavour, aroma and quality.
Advantage of spray oil: packaging in spray containers prevents the action of oxygen (oxidation). Therefore, the extra virgin olive oil retains its quality for longer.
Olive oil should be stored in a dark place at room temperature. It should be kept in cooler rooms for long periods of time, where lower temperatures may cause cloudiness, but this does not affect the quality of the oil.

Flavoured oils
You can add herbs, spices (rosemary, cloves) or crushed garlic to olive oil to make different flavoured oils at home. (Choose a small, dark bottle and spray it with the required amount of olive oil, add a sprig of rosemary or sage and leave it to infuse in a dark place.)
